Some people don’t know what they’re doing by 26. Some people keep trying to do when they’ve been doing by 26.
Some people have already burned their bridges by 26. Some people have burned themselves out by 26.
Some people have becomes gods by 26. Some people have become demons by 26.
Some people have spent the best of their life by 26. Some people will have nothing left to look forward to by 26
Some people are not yet alive by 26.
Some people are dead by 26.
By 26, you have lived your childhood, and by 26, you have lived your youth. By 26, you are an adult, and by 26, you have already lived as an adult. By 26, you have already become the person you are going to be for the foreseeable future. By 26, there is no more transition phase, no waiting; by 26, you are already there, doing things, and living life, however you have chosen to live it.
I have not done all I should have done by 26. I have made the mistakes I say other people have made by 26. I have already wasted so much potential, lost so many millions of things that I will never have a chance to get back, by 26. But if I have even learned one valuable thing by 26, I have learned that most people at 26 do not know all the things I have just said. They do not see the bigger picture; they don’t even think about it.
I know the universe of things I have not done by 26. But because I know that, I know the many things I have done by 26. I can rest tonight, knowing that I may not have it all together by 26, but that was never the goal. The goal was just to get there. The goal was to do something by 26, and to have a plan to do something more past 26.
