Land of Lore (c)

In the grand arena of battle, champions of the states struggle to prove themselves worthy above the rest.  Whether they fight as a team, or fight as one, all fight as if the prize is theirs, and theirs alone.  Should even another ally claim a prize, they believe that it is a zero-sum game, and that less “prize” shall be awarded to them.  It is meaningless, all of it.  Battles are won and lost, but the war never ends.  Individuals fight under a banner of belief, but none care to glance at what is professed upon it.  The past is quickly forgotten, if it was ever remembered at all, and the future is nothing but the constant pleading for more wealth, more power, more of everything they all have too much of already.
